Markus W. Haun is the head of the PROVIDE Junior Research Group on health services research in psychosomatics and psychotherapy and a specialist both in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy and in internal medicine with an additional qualification in addiction medicine. He is the managing senior physician (Bergheim Site) and the attending physician for the psychotherapy unit AKM at the Department of General Internal Medicine and Psychosomatics at Heidelberg University in Heidelberg, Germany. Dr Haun has a background in medicine, psychology and health care management. He graduated from Heidelberg Medical School in 2010 as a medical doctor and subsequently went on to complete a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in developmental and clinical psychology from Heidelberg University and an MBA in health care management from the University of Bayreuth. Dr. Haun is a certified systemic psychotherapist (DGSF/SG) and a trainer at the Helm Stierlin Institute for Training and Research in Systemic Psychotherapy, Counselling, and Supervision in Heidelberg.
